BRINKMAN’S CHUCKWAGON BEANS

Ingredients

2 cn 15 oz Van Camps pork n beans
4 T Brown sugar
1 sm Onion, chopped
6 sl Bacon, sliced
1 T Bacon drippings
1/8 C Catsup
1 T Prepared mustard
1 teaspoon Liquid Barbecue SmokeĀ® if oven cooking

Instructions

Cook bacon over medium low heat until just cooked. Add onion and saute until onion is clear. Drain bacon grease reserving one tablespoon. Combine all ingredients in an oven safe casserole dish and bake at 225 for three hours, or preferably, hickory smoke for 3-1/2 hours.
